Our mission is to allow small to mid-size businesses, startups, book authors, and others to get their news out on to the web and social media affordable, without needing a PR firm or Publicist or breaking the bank with other really expensive press release services.

How did you come up with the idea for your business?
PRUnderground.com was actually created about 7 years ago, and I took over the business in 2013. Basically it provides affordable web press release distribution to Google News, social media, and approximately 70 regional news websites.

What is your mission?
Our mission is to allow small to mid-size businesses, startups, book authors, and others to get their news out on to the web and social media affordable, without needing a PR firm or Publicist or breaking the bank with other really expensive press release services.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?
PRUnderground was ranked as one of the Best PRess Release Services by G2Crowd, and was also written up in Forbes, Social Media Today, and PR Daily.

What’s your best advice for other tech entrepreneurs who are starting a business?
Talk to your customers directly to understand how they will/do use your product or service. You can try to guess, but it’s much easier to learn in a 5 minute conversation with dozens of customers to understand your product market fit and value proposition. Also, figure out your revenue model and path to profitability immediately. “Getting acquired by Google” is not a realistic business goal.
